Seven area businesses and community leaders recognized for entrepreneurship, innovation, economic development, and commitment to the Fond du Lac community
Marian University is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2026 Business & Industry Awards, recognizing seven businesses, entrepreneurs and community leaders whose accomplishments demonstrate a strong commitment to innovation, economic development, collaboration, and community. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
For more than four decades, Marian University’s Business & Industry Awards have celebrated outstanding organizations and individuals who contribute to the strength and vitality of the business community. Award recipients are recognized for accomplishments ranging from entrepreneurship and business leadership to community collaboration, economic development, and positive contributions to Wisconsin.
The 2026 honorees are:
- Business of the Year – Wrightway Home Improvements
- Entrepreneur of the Year – Mike Leb
- Community Collaboration Award – Shea Electric & Communications, LLC
- Economic Development Award – Fond du Lac Festivals
- Manufacturing Entrepreneur of the Year – Spark Ops
- Special Achievement Award – Fedco Batteries
- George Becker Business Spirit Award – Mike Hierl

The annual Business & Industry Awards also support Marian University students. Individual and table reservations, along with sponsorships, are available for purchase now. Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships for students in Marian’s business programs, connecting the success of today’s business leaders with the education and development of tomorrow’s leaders.
