Fond du Lac and Waterloo will not be able to make up the contest
Friday night’s game between the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders and the Waterloo Bucks was canceled due to weather.
After a two-and-a-half-hour delay, the season-series finale between Fond du Lac and Waterloo was officially called. The game will not be made up because there are no remaining dates on the schedule that work for both teams.
The cancellation comes as a first for the Dock Spiders this season, who came into the night swinging the bats well. Fond du Lac had scored 33 runs on 37 hits over its last two games and was looking to keep that momentum going as the playoff race in the Great Lakes West heats up.
The Dock Spiders will travel to Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday to open a home-and-home series against the Rafters. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.
The Dock Spiders return to Herr-Baker Field on Sunday for a 1:05 p.m. matchup against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters for Season Ticket Holder Appreciation Day & Draw String Bag Giveaway. The Dock Spiders will thank Season Ticket Holders for their support throughout the season. Plus, the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a draw string bag courtesy of MLB Network. Kids can also enjoy Pre-Game Catch on the Field presented by Fondy Family Dental, and stick around after the game for Post-Game Autographs presented by Kwik Trip.
