Effective immediately, the Elizabeth Street Pedestrian Bridge is closed to all pedestrian and bicycle traffic until further notice. For the public’s safety, do not bypass the barriers or warning signs. The structural integrity of the bridge is currently compromised.

During a recent inspection, significant corrosion was discovered on numerous structural members of the bridge. To ensure the safety of our community, the structure must remain entirely closed while a full assessment and plan is discussed.

The Pedestrian Bridge is located over the Dutch Gap between Elizabeth Street and Guinette Avenue in the southwest part of the city.
