The Fond du Lac Symphonic Band has  announced that the 2020 Buttermilk Festival summer concert series has been canceled. The decision to cancel was made by the Board of Directors because of ongoing concerns related to the Coronavirus pandemic, restrictions on large group gatherings, and lack of a rehearsal facility while local schools remained closed.

Additional factors included the cancellation of the Kids from Wisconsin summer season and cancellations or postponements of most regional festivals and events in summer, 2020.

Late in June, the Board of Directors will meet to review current conditions and consider the feasibility  of holding one or two outdoor concerts during August.  While cancellation of the season is disappointing, the Symphonic Band made the safety and health of its musicians and audiences the  top priority. The Band  looks forward to the time when it can again provide musical entertainment for the community.
