Marian University Awarded $1.049 Million for STEM Equipment

Marian University will be able to invest in new scientific equipment to help educate the next generation of health and STEM-related professionals, thanks to a $1.049 million Congressionally Directed Spending Project. This allocation from the Department of Education came at the request of Senator Tammy Baldwin, as part of the Fiscal Year 2024 funding bill, recently approved by Congress.

“We are grateful to Senator Baldwin for securing these funds for Marian University,” said Dr. Michelle Majewski, President of Marian University. “By investing in the latest scientific equipment, Marian will return these funds to the community in the form of newly-educated Nurses, Radiologic Technicians, Forensic Scientists and other STEM professionals that are in high-demand here in Wisconsin.”

Marian University was founded in 1936 by the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes, a group of pioneering sisters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The university offers undergraduate, masters and adult learning degrees at its main campus and online.
