Marian University NCAA men’s hockey (9-17-1, 4-10-2-2 NCHA) was defeated by No. 10 St. Norbert 6-1 in the opener of its NCHA Harris Cup Quarterfinals series.
- St. Norbert had a 1-0 lead after the opening period scoring a power-play goal at the 7:50 mark.
- SNC then netted two goals in the second separated by 3:49.
- A third power-play score opened the third period before the Green Knights put the final score at 5-0.
- St. Norbert finished with a 34-13 advantage for shots.
- The Sabre penalty kill allowed two power-play goals on eight SNC power plays.
- Marian had just one chance on the power play.
- St. Norbert has now won the last six meetings, four of which have come in the postseason.
