Marian NCAA men’s hockey knocked out of postseason by No. 10 SNC

Marian University NCAA men’s hockey (9-17-1, 4-10-2-2 NCHA) was defeated by No. 10 St. Norbert 6-1 in the opener of its NCHA Harris Cup Quarterfinals series.

  • St. Norbert had a 1-0 lead after the opening period scoring a power-play goal at the 7:50 mark.
  • SNC then netted two goals in the second separated by 3:49.
  • A third power-play score opened the third period before the Green Knights put the final score at 5-0.

  • The Sabre penalty kill allowed two power-play goals on eight SNC power plays.
  • Marian had just one chance on the power play.
  • St. Norbert has now won the last six meetings, four of which have come in the postseason.
