What do you enjoy the most about your current position?

I truly enjoy almost every aspect of my career. Empowering my clients when they are looking to buy, sell, or build their home is extremely rewarding.

What is the one thing you would do if you knew you could not fail?

Start a few more businesses! I’m an entrepreneur at heart.

How has YPF contributed to your personal and/or professional development?

I enjoy getting to meet new people in our community. YPF makes it easy to get involved in one of their many events or committee opportunities. I’m relatively new to YPF so I look forward to expanding my professional network in the coming years.

Who or what is your source of professional inspiration?

I draw inspiration from powerful working women. There is nothing like a woman who is passionate about their purpose in life! Jenelle Bruno, my office manager, is a daily source of inspiration. I also love Joanna Gaines and Beyonce, to name a few.

What is your favorite thing to do in the Fond du Lac area?

My husband and I enjoy kayaking and fishing at various locations throughout Fond du Lac County in the summertime. We also enjoy other outdoor activities including hiking, biking, rollerblading, and cross country skiing. It’s hard to pick just one because our hobbies revolve around the season.

Where do you see the Fond du Lac area in 5 years?

I think Fond du Lac is a community that has great potential for growth. In five years, I see Fond du Lac continuing to innovate. Our community has thriving flagship businesses and many new, small businesses that are vital to our economic expansion. Specifically in housing, I see Fond du Lac continue to be a location that people and families desire for our “small town” feel with “big town” amenities.

What words of wisdom do you have for other young professionals working in Fond du Lac?

On the other side of fear is joy. We only get this one life to make an impact, do what we love, find our calling and make the world a better place than we started with. I encourage the young professionals of our community to embrace their life and all it has to offer.

Star Wars, Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings? Why?

It has to be Lord of the Rings since my dad loves it and watched it so many times while I was growing up.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” -Unknown

What would you name the autobiography of your life?

“My Life So Far”
Tales of a Multi-Passionate Millennial

If you could win an Olympic medal for any sport, real or fake, what would it be?

Longest Sleeper (I asked my husband this question and he said it would be “Patience”!)

What’s a work lesson you had to learn the hard way?

I had to learn that not everyone will give you their business. I’m paraphrasing Beyonce here, but she said you can put in the time, the effort, and practice crazily, and you can still lose. You can do everything right, make all the right decisions, and still lose. It’s an important lesson, especially for small business owners, and it has helped me redefine what success looks like for me.
