Marian women’s bowling headed to Lansing Regional for NCAA Tournament

Marian University women’s bowling will be heading to the Lansing Regional for its first trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The Sabres will be joined in Lansing by No. 3 Youngstown State, No. 6 Nebraska and No. 9 Maryville (Mo.).  Marian received an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament after winning its third CCIW Tournament Championship.  The NCAA Regionals consists of a double-elimination bracket with a mega-match format.  The mega-match format consists of a traditional game, total pin Baker game, and a best-of-seven Baker match-up, if necessary.  The regional bracket can be found at https://www.ncaa.com/_flysystem/public-s3/images/2024/03/27/4.pdf and the bracket for the entire NCAA Tournament is available at https://www.ncaa.com/_flysystem/public-s3/files/BRACKET_NCWBW_ChampionshipBracket_FULL_2024.pdf.

Marian only faced Maryville (Mo.) during the regular season falling in a Baker match and splitting two traditional matches.

Marian will open its first trip to the national tournament against No. 3 Youngstown State from Royal Scot Golf and Bowl at 9 a.m. Friday, April 5.
