Fond du Lac School District Announces Director of Facility Services and Safety

The Fond du Lac School District (FDL-SD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nate Groves as the new Director of Facility Services and Safety, effective July 1, 2024. Currently serving as the Principal at Chegwin Elementary, Mr. Groves brings a wealth of leadership experience to this role within our district and in Arizona.

Mr. Groves’ journey in educational leadership has been marked by roles within FDL-SD, including his position as an Assistant Principal at Fond du Lac High School (FHS). His educational background extends to his time as an AP psychology teacher at FHS, further demonstrating his deep commitment to the district’s growth.

Before joining our community in 2016, Mr. Groves began his educational career in Arizona, teaching various social studies courses at Bagdad and Paradise Honors high schools. His dedication to continual development was evident in his roles as a student council advisor and coach for varsity volleyball, basketball and soccer teams.

Groves received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Cardinal Stritch University and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Our district appreciates Mr. Groves’s interest in leading the Facility Services and Safety Division. We are confident that he will guide the department toward continuous growth and effectively leverage the team’s expertise.

With Mr. Groves moving into a new leadership role, the FDL-SD will begin a search for a new principal for Chegwin in the coming month, ahead of the 2024-25 school year.
