Project G.R.I.L.L. Unveiling Event Scheduled

Project G.R.I.L.L., a program of Envision Greater Fond du Lac, will host their 14th annual unveiling event on Friday, May 6, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Festival Foods in Fond du Lac.  A public ceremony will happen from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; the Brat Barn fundraiser will be open from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. 

Project G.R.I.L.L. , which stands for Growing Readiness in Learning and Leading, is a hands-on learning experience showcasing careers in manufacturing to high school students. This year, six high schools are participating: Central Wisconsin Christian, Fond du Lac, Laconia, Lomira, North Fond du Lac, and Winnebago Lutheran Academy. Students from these schools worked with local manufacturers to design, and manufacture functional grills throughout the school year. Project partners include JF Ahern, Kondex Corp., Mercury Marine, Fives Giddings & Lewis, Mid-States Aluminum, and Manowske Welding. 

Additional Friends of Project G.R.I.L.L. include: Festival Foods, Fond du Lac Area Foundation, Integrity Saw & Tool, KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull, Thelma Sadoff Center for The Arts and Moraine Park Technical College all provide in-kind donations to aide in the event’s success.
